ARCHIBUS^® V.15 New Applications

In addition to the enhancements to ARCHIBUS Version 15's core functionality, the product will offer three new Web-based applications: Project Management, Capital Budgeting, and Move Management. Also watch for additional Web-based activities within the J2EE platform—Emergency Preparedness and Asset Management.

Project Management

Designed from the owning organization’s perspective, this application helps monitor all the projects in your portfolio. It tracks property acquisition, renovation, construction, condition assessment, and move projects in one integrated view so you can coordinate interrelated milestones from different departments, disciplines, and sites.

By creating a central repository for project costs, tasks, documents, invoices, and more, the activity gives team members access to a single source of information and coordinates time-based and location-based tasks. Interactive, Web-based Gantt charts and calendars make it easy for everyone in the organization to view and update information in real time. Powerful analysis views can summarize the details from hundreds of projects in one convenient matrix. Features for work packages, bids, payments, change orders, and vendor performance let you control the activities of the myriad contractors and outsource agents. Integration with Microsoft Project lets remote project managers and contractors use a familiar tool when downloading task assignments and uploading statuses to the central repository.

View the project calendar and Gantt chart at the task, work package, project, or program level of detail to find schedule dependencies that affect the master plan.

Capital Budgeting

This application provides a method for tracking the capital budget cycle from request, evaluation, approval and funding. With this information, users can establish the capital requirements needed to execute master planning, expansion, and modernization plans, and review requests from all sites and divisions on a level basis while aligning them with the organization’s overall mission.

• Summarizes all capital planning activity in a consistent format to prioritize projects, coordinate activities, and budget resources
• Provides a centralized methodology to manage capital projects across multiple departments and sites
• Creates what-if capital planning scenarios to reduce business interruption and stem cost overruns

The Capital Budgeting activity gives you a single, top-down view of all your capital projects, funding sources, and timeframes. You can present and compare multiple funding scenarios and multiple budget alternatives.

Move Management

This application is designed to reduce the complexity, risks, time, downtime, and costs associated with large-scale moves. It helps move managers plan employee and equipment moves using multiple phases and trials, and manage the move process at both the macro and micro levels.

• Streamlines the entire move management process, including request, update, and view statuses
• Improves communication and coordination efforts between clients, IT, facilities, movers, and others with rules-based workflow
• Reduces architectural consulting costs and the expenses of unnecessary moves
